You realize there's this thing called "Foreshadowing," which is that they repeatedly show & tell how Boruto has been mimicking Mitsuki's Ninjutsu, which is a trait he inherited from his father; they never did show Naruto creating, or mastering, the sexyjutsu... yet we accepted that he knew it, because the show implies he practices frequently... which is more than we can say for Rey of Star Wars, because we see every waking minute of her life from Episode 7 through 8, only getting a time gap in Episode 9.

Boruto has regular time gaps, which if we didn't have such gaps, I'd agree with you.

Also, there are very few Ninjutsu's that are taught, or trained, outside of combat.
